Premier Showdown - Jan 15-16

Dale Johnson went back to the top of the table in the last round of games, just squeezing home to take all three points and move up above Tommy Smyth.

So we're back after the break for the FA Cup and we're going to head to Mexico, and welcome Diego Gonzalez to Showdown. He's from Monterrey - the home of the current Mexican Football League champions.

Diego tells us: "Hi there, I'm an Engineer working on an Aerospace manufacturing plant. Football is my real passion, I have barely missed a Manchester United match since 2000 and am looking forward to winning this season, the historical 19th!

"I enjoy listening to the Soccernet Podcast as well, and your website is the first one I check daily. Cheers!"

No ... Thank you.

Let's check out those predictions.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.

Dale just sneaks home in a very high-scoring affair, and now there's daylight.

Table after Round 23
Dale: 30
Tommy: 25.5
Rest of the World: 13.5

Best week's total of season so far: 13, Bob McFarland.

So do you think you can beat the best of the best? Now is your chance to find out!
