Burnley appoint Howe as new boss
Burnley have confirmed the appointment of Eddie Howe as their new manager on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Howe, 33, leaves League One side Bournemouth to replace Brian Laws at Turf Moor and has been joined by his assistant Jason Tindall.
The former England Under-21 international watched the Clarets draw with Championship leaders QPR at Turf Moor on Saturday and will now take charge on Monday morning.
"This is a fantastic club and you only had to see the fans at the game here on Saturday to see how passionate they are," Howe said.
Howe had enjoyed tremendous success at Bournemouth iduring his two-year tenure, helping the Cherries to promotion from League Two last season.
Until this season, he was the youngest manager in the football league, but 30-year-old MK Dons boss Karl Fletcher has now taken over that mantle.
