Real Madrid have expressed "a certain amount of interest" in signing Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose, according to the player's agent.
Klose, 32, has struggled to make an impact at Bayern in recent times but remains prolific at international level, having scored six for Germany since his four-goal haul at the World Cup.
He has regularly been linked with a move away from Bayern and, with Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain ruled out for the next four months, Jose Mourinho has again been stressing his desire to sign another forward.
Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is said to be under consideration, but agent Alexander Schuett has now claimed they have made contact over a possible move for Klose.
"There have been some enquiries from Spain," he told Bild. "Also there have been some tentative enquiries from Real, but nothing more than that."
The Daily Telegraph claimed on Thursday that senior figures at City had been made aware of Madrid's interest in Adebayor, although Roberto Mancini has suggested the striker may remain at Eastlands due to Mario Balotelli's latest injury.
"There are a lot of teams that would want Manu, he is a different player, but at this moment I think that it's best we wait on Mario's situation," he said.
"Maybe [he will leave], but we must wait. We have another 20 days (in the transfer window), we have time, so we must wait."
