Melbourne Heart skipper Simon Colosimo is out of Saturday's A-League clash with Perth due to a calf strain.
The experienced central defender sustained the injury in the Heart's 2-0 win against North Queensland on January 2 and is expected to be sidelined for a week.
Heart coach John van `t Schip revealed Colosimo will be replaced by Socceroos defender Michael Beauchamp for the nib Stadium encounter.
"Simon had treatment last week, had a training session this week, but didn't feel good enough to go to Perth and play a difficult game," said van `t Schip.
"We preferred to give him a few days extra to prepare himself and hopefully be fit for the game against Gold Coast."
