Bendtner rules out loan move

Nicklas Bendtner has insisted he has no intention of leaving Arsenal in January and is vowing to fight for his place.

• Moyes admits Bendtner interest
• Wigan 2-2 Arsenal
• Wenger attacks defence
• New setback for Diaby
• Jolly: Chance missed for Gunners
• On The Move: December 30

The Danish forward has found his route to a regular start at Emirates Stadium blocked by the presence of summer signing Marouane Chamakh and has been linked with a winter move away from the club - with the likes of Bayern Munich and Lazio purported to be interested.

Everton manager David Moyes also admitted recently that he would consider a loan move for the striker, who previously spent a successful spell in the Championship with Birmingham City.

Bendtner has looked frustrated at times, but he was handed a start against Wigan and did his cause no harm by helping himself to a goal in the 2-2 draw.

The forward is aware of the competition for places at Arsenal, with Robin van Persie also fit again and pushing for a start, but he has no intention of cutting his losses in January.

"I won't be loaned out," Bendtner said. "That's not going to happen. I've got the patience to wait until I get the chance and when I get it I'll take the starting place that I definitely feel is mine."

Meanwhile, young defender Havard Nordtveit has completed his move to Borussia Monchengladbach, signing a contract until June 2013. The 20-year-old is a former captain of Arsenal's reserve side but failed to break into the first-team reckoning.

"It's my goal to play as much as possible," Nordtveit said. "I will do my utmost to break into the starting XI and will give everything to help the club forward. Monchengladbach have had some defensive problems, but I'm hopeful that we'll return to winning ways after the winter break."
