Celtic close on Ljungberg deal
Celtic boss Neil Lennon will meet with Freddie Ljungberg's representatives on Thursday morning to hopefully thrash out a deal for the former Arsenal star, who has been training with the Hoops this week.
Ljungberg was at Parkhead on Wednesday night to see Paddy McCourt score the winner against Motherwell to take Celtic one point ahead of Rangers at the top of the SPL.
Afterwards the Celtic boss hinted that he is edging closer to securing the services of the 33-year-old midfielder.
"The talks will hopefully be on-going today [Thursday],'' Lennon said. "We are hoping his representatives are up this morning and we can get something bedded down.''
Lennon will also continue to monitor Dwayne De Rosario after his club, Toronto FC, and Major League Soccer claimed they had not authorised the Canada international to train with the Parkhead club.
The former Celtic skipper said: "I think it was an administrative problem but that has been resolved so he can carry on.''
