Kean wants Rovers job
Blackburn's Indian owner Venky's, axed Allardyce on Monday and Holloway's name has been mentioned in connection with the vacancy, but he has quickly distanced himself from the rumours.
"I know I've got a few chickens but it is ridiculous to link me with that. It is absolute rubbish,'' Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette. "I signed a contract at Blackpool in the summer, which lasts this season and next season, and I am more than happy. I don't need to talk to anybody.
"I haven't got an agent and I don't really want one anymore. I am just happy talking to my chairman about the job I'm doing here. I am privileged to have this job and I am trying to do the best I can.''
Asked at a press conference on Friday about Allardyce's dismissal, Holloway expressed his bafflement at the decision.
"It seems an absolute load of nonsense, but they own the club, they can do what they like and they have obviously done it,'' Holloway said.
"For me, they obviously don't know what football is about because a good manager like that with a great track record, and where they are in the league, it is not easy. Not everyone can do it and I hope it doesn't backfire on them.
"Sam has a proven track record of how he does things. Good luck to them, that's all I'd like to say. None of it makes sense, but maybe football doesn't.''
