Neymar to stay with Santos

Chelsea have been told there is no chance they will be able to sign Brazil starlet Neymar in January.

Chelsea expressed an interest in Santos forward Neymar, 18, during the summer, but the clubs were unable to agree a fee.

Rumours of a January bid surfaced again recently when agent Pini Zahavi, who has worked closely with the Blues for a number of years, travelled to Brazil and spoke to Neymar's agent, Wagner Ribeiro.

However, Ribeiro told Lance!: "Zahavi is a personal friend and only travelled to Brazil to escape from the European winter. The chance that Neymar will leave Santos for Chelsea this season is 0%.

"Neymar wants to play the Copa Libertadores with Santos. If we wanted go abroad, he wouldn't have even been here. I speak every day with Santos' chairman and I can say that Neymar won't go anywhere until the 2012 Olympics."

The player said last week that he had no regrets over staying in Brazil. "I think that my family and I made the right choice and I'm very happy to have done so," he said.
