United drawn against Liverpool

Manchester United have been drawn against Liverpool in the FA Cup. They will meet at Old Trafford in the undoubted tie of the third round. • Blog: FA Cup draw kind to Fulham The teams have met twice in the competition since Eric Cantona's late winner decided the final in 1996. Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson said: "I think it will be a good game and it is one we will look forward to. In many ways it is a shame to see two Barclays Premier League teams face each other so early on in the competition, but it will be a difficult game for them as well as for us."

Meanwhile, Leicester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson will be given the chance to face former club Manchester City at the Walkers Stadium, while Arsenal host Championship side Leeds, who secured a memorable upset at Old Trafford in the third round last season.
