Former Finland striker Mixu Paatelainen says he is flattered by speculation linking him with the national team job, but insists he is happy managing Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.
Finland are searching for a new coach after Englishman Stuart Baxter's contract expired on Tuesday, and a representative of the Finnish Football Association reportedly went to watch Paatelainen's side on Wednesday.
But having only joined Kilmarnock in June, Paatelainen has no desire to leave Rugby Park so soon into his tenure and moved swiftly to deny that he has been approached about the Finald vacancy.
"It absolutely flatters me, but that's all there is to it," Paatelainen said. "I'm totally happy here. There's no point saying anything about it.
"I'm delighted here working my socks off with the boys and enjoying the good vein of form. Let's not destroy it. They [the Finnish FA] haven't asked anything so there's no point commenting."
