Sunderland midfielder Andy Reid has joined Championship side Sheffield United on loan until the end of November.
Reid, 28, featured in Sunderland's recent home draws against Arsenal and Manchester United, but his first-team appearances this season have been restricted due to a hamstring injury.
The Republic of Ireland international will now head to Bramall Lane alongside Sunderland team-mate Nyron Nosworthy, who remains on loan in South Yorkshire until the end of the season.
Reid is expected to go straight into Gary Speed's squad for the weekend clash against Coventry City, and will be with the Blades up to and including the game against Bristol City at Ashton Gate on November 27.
Reid has made 79 appearances for Sunderland since arriving from Charlton Athletic in January 2008. He has 27 caps for Republic of Ireland.
