Torres starts in strong Liverpool line-up

Striker Fernando Torres will start his first Europa League match of the season as Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson named his strongest available side to face Utrecht at the Stadion Galgenwaard.

• Live Europa League: Updates and chat
• Hodgson: Europe no priority
• Utrecht aware of Liverpool threat

With Paul Konchesky and Daniel Agger injured and Steven Gerrard left at home to rest Hodgson made only the changes he had to from the team which drew with Sunderland on Saturday.

That meant Martin Kelly coming in as a makeshift left-back and Lucas Leiva returning in central midfield.

Utrecht, who have won all six matches at home in all competitions this season, looked to striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel for inspiration.

The 21-year-old has scored six goals in six European matches already this season and seven times in as many games in the Eredivisie.
