Raul expects Schalke to turn season around

Raul has stressed that Schalke are still in contention for three trophies despite their disappointing start to the season.

Despite signing Raul, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Jose Manuel Jurado this summer, Schalke have made a disappointing start to the season and currently sit second from bottom in the Bundesliga.

They also lost their opening Champions League game to Lyon, but they remain alive in the league, Europe and the DFB-Pokal and Raul is confident they will turn it around.

"The season has only just begun," he told Bild. "There are still three possible titles up for grabs. However, we now want to take each game as it comes. A new team takes time to come to terms with the new system and to gel."
