Juventus striker Diego Amauri is expecting a "fast recovery" from the ankle injury he suffered against Cagliari after scans revealed the problem is less serious than feared.
Amauri was injured during Sunday's 4-2 triumph over Cagliari and there were concerns he had suffered serious ligament damage, but Juve coach Luigi Del Neri can breathe a sigh of relief.
Scans revealed no major damage, just heavy bruising, and although Amauri will miss Thursday's Europa League match at Manchester City he could return in time for Sunday's top Serie A clash at Inter Milan.
A statement from the club read: "The scan done on Amauri has not shown any significant ligament lesions in his right ankle. The player will continue treatment tomorrow and he is expected he have a fast recovery.
"His condition will be evaluated by the medical staff in the next coming days."
