Premier Showdown - Sept 18-19

Dale Johnson returned to winning ways last weekend with a crushing victory over Tommy Smyth and the ROTW. But it remains extremely tight early in the season. No-one looks like running away with Showdown this time.

Playing for the Rest of the World this time is Thom Creup who hails from Montclair, New Jersey in the United States.

Thom tells us: "I'm Thom, I'm a die hard Liverpool fan and I'm a student - and also work as a butcher. I've been making football predictions among a group of my friends since 2002 and would love to see my adept skills displayed online for the world to see in awe.

"I don't mean to come off as cocky, I just have a real knack for predicting games. I hope I get a shot. Thanks for your time reading this and have a good day!"

Dale and Tommy are confident of knocking you off that perch.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.
