Dzeko remains a transfer target for Juventus

Juventus intend to make another attempt to sign Edin Dzeko from Vfl Wolfsburg next year, but general director Giuseppe Marotta believes he may eventually sign for Bayern Munich.

A host of clubs, including Juve, were trying to sign Dzeko this summer, but Wolfsburg were adamant that they would not be selling the Bosnia international ahead of the 2010-11 campaign.

"Dzeko is one of the strongest players in Europe,'' said Marotta. "He makes a difference. We wanted him and we did everything we could within our possibilities to acquire him in the summer transfer market. However, Wolfsburg put up a wall.

"Unfortunately, [Wolfsburg general manager Dieter] Hoeness was firm on his decision [not to sell the player]. We will try again but something tells me that in the future the Bosnian will end up playing at Bayern Munich.''
