Rosenborg's Annan forced to wait for move

Rosenborg midfielder Anthony Annan will stay at the club until January, despite interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Annan played for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup and attracted praise for his performances in central midfield, but was unable to seal a move away from Norway and will now have to wait until the next window.

"There have been a number of enquiries from Premier League clubs, but at the moment it looks as though he will stay at Rosenborg. We will now wait until January," Agent Lars Petter-Foddahl told

Rosenborg paid £1.25 million to sign the Ghanaian from IK Start in 2008, but after failing to secure a move to Blackburn following a trial, he has not managed to engineer a move to the Premier League.
