Hannover have completed the signing of American winger DaMarcus Beasley following his exit from Rangers.
Beasley, who left Rangers at the end of last season, has signed a two-year contract with Hannover after an injury-plagued spell in Scotland.
Hannover sporting director Jorg Schmadtke said: "DaMarcus' signing adds a further option to our squad. That is necessary for a long Bundesliga season - one in which we have made a great start, but one that will still bring many twists and turns in the coming months."
Hannover coach Mirko Slomka was equally pleased to have snapped up the 28-year-old.
"It is a positive sign for Hannover to be able to attract a further American national player," he said. "DaMarcus brings with him great international experience, and can help give us that extra push in the Bundesliga."
Beasley is excited at the prospect of linking up with international team-mate Steve Cherundolo at Hannover.
"I already know about Hannover because I played a friendly here two years ago," Beasley said. "It will be great to play for the same domestic team as Steve. The Bundesliga will be a fantastic challenge for me."
