Kaizer Chiefs and South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune claims he is not suffering from a 'World Cup hangover' and that he is fully focused on his club side.
Khune impressed for Bafana Bafana before he was sent off against Uruguay and is now preparing for the MTN8 quarter-final clash with Bloemfontein Celtic for his club side. But any fans worried that his experiences at the World Cup have affected him, can rest safe.
"Club soccer is our bread and butter," he said. "It was great playing at the World Cup in June, but while it was a fantastic experience, I am looking forward to helping Chiefs win cups this season."
Claiming that the league title is obviously a priority, Khune was more realistic about his hopes of finishing in the top half.
"But that is a marathon, the top eight is our immediate target," he said. "We need to shine for the next couple of matches and try and win it."
