Portugal midfielder Tiago has re-joined Atletico Madrid on loan from Juventus for the upcoming season after his successful stint in Spain for the second half of the 2009-10 La Liga season.
Tiago, 29, scored three goals in 23 appearances for Atletico after moving from Turin for six months from January.
"I'm delighted to return to Atletico,'' Tiago said. "I wanted to come back and here I am again, eager to start training.
"Right now my goal is to be ready to play as soon as possible. It will be hard to play the European Super Cup on August 27 because I haven't done any training with the ball.
"I have not spoken with the coach, who will decide. I've talked to Simao (Sabrosa) and I know most of my team-mates, which is an advantage.''
Despite Luigi Delneri taking over at Juventus, Tiago still isn't in the Italian club's first team plans. He represented Portugal at the World Cup, scoring two goals against North Korea.
Tiago will be able to help Atletico defend their Europa League title this season, having been forced to sit out the club's successful European run last term.
