Annan set for Rosenborg stay

Rosenborg coach Nils Arne Eggen has rejected suggestions Anthony Annan could move to the Premier League this summer.

Annan, 24, has been linked with a number of top sides since his impressive showings for Ghana at this summer's World Cup, but Eggen has rejected the talk he could move on.

"Annan is a non-issue," he said. "He will not be sold and will be here. We're finished with the issue."

Annan, though, says he is surprised by Eggen's comments and still wants a move.

"I find it strange that he says this, but I know that he wants to keep his best players," Annan told Aftenposten. "I want to play for a bigger club and am ready to go if there is an interesting offer from the club."
