Lyon defender Jean-Alain Boumsong is a step closer to completing his move to Greek side Panathinaikos after the two clubs agreed a fee.
Boumsong landed in Athens on Thursday afternoon and successfully underwent a medical.
A note on the OL website read: "Panathinaikos and OL have come to an agreement for the transfer of Jean-Alain Boumsong, who successfully passed a medical at Athens on Thursday.
"The transaction was concluded for a sum of €500,000 with a possible bonus of €250,000.''
The move would see Boumsong reunited with France team-mates Djibril Cisse and Sidney Govou. Boumsong spent four years with Cisse at Auxerre, while he has spent the past two years in the same Lyon side as Govou.
The 30-year-old also lists Le Havre, Rangers, Newcastle and Juventus among his former teams.
