Wolfsburg chief Hoeness annoyed with Dzeko talk

Wolfsburg managing director Dieter Hoeness is growing sick of the speculation surrounding striker Edin Dzeko.

Hoeness last week attempted to bring an end to all speculation about the Bosnian striker's future by saying he would not be sold "no matter what offers come in''.

However, his remarks seem to have fallen on deaf ears since Juventus are still reported to be interested, while 24-year-old Dzeko has also been linked with Manchester City and, more recently, Bayern Munich.

The remarks from Bayern coach Louis van Gaal, who revealed he is interested in Dzeko, have frustrated Hoeness.

"Enough has got to be enough now,'' he told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung. "We have made our position clear and I will not say anything more about it.''

Dzeko had a clause inserted in the contract he signed 12 months ago enabling him to leave this summer for an agreed fee of €40 million (£33 million), but with a deadline for a deal to be done set for the start of July.

No club had made an offer by that date, prompting Hoeness to declare the player not for sale at any price. He and Wolfsburg's coach Steve McClaren have since been planning with Dzeko for the upcoming season.
