Zambrotta extends Milan deal

AC Milan defender Gianluca Zambrotta has agreed a one-year contract extension.

Allegri seeks more from Brazilian duo

Zambrotta, who joined the club from Barcelona in 2008, had a year remaining on his current deal. A statement from the club read: "AC Milan announces that Gianluca Zambrotta has extended his contract until June 30, 2012."

Zambrotta, 33, was part of Italy's World Cup squad this summer and made 24 appearances for his club last season.

The announcement follows the news that goalkeeper Christian Abbiati and defender Massimo Oddo have both agreed extensions at the San Siro.
