Podolski set to stay

Cologne striker Lukas Podolski insists he has no intention of leaving the club this summer.

Podolski, 25, returned to Cologne from Bayern Munich last summer and, despite a difficult season at club level, he has attracted interest after an impressive World Cup with Germany.

"Of course there are enquiries from other clubs, but I'm not interested," he told Express. "I want to take a big step with my club in the coming season.

"Perhaps we will even cause a surprise and qualify for the Europa League. Our wonderful fans deserve that."

AC Milan and Juventus have both been linked with a move for Podolski.
