Guardiola, 39, reached a verbal agreement with Barca in January and spokesman Toni Freixa announced on Tuesday that it would be made official on Wednesday.
A statement on the official Barcelona website said that Guardiola and his assistant Tito Vilanova have both now committed their futures to the club until June 30, 2011. The deal was signed at the club's offices at 1.30pm local time in the presence of new president Sandro Rosell.
Meanwhile, Barca have confirmed they have secured the €155 million loan needed to cover costs including the salaries of the players, coaching staff and employees. More details of the loan, from a group of banks led by La Caixa and Banco Santander, will be given on Thursday.
