Potters target pledges future to Newcastle
Stoke City transfer target Andy Carroll has no intention of heading to the Britannia Stadium after declaring "Newcastle are the only club for me".
Carroll, 21, had been heavily linked with a move to the Potters after his 19 goals helped Newcastle win promotion back to the Premier League last season.
But the England Under-21 striker, who is currently thrashing out a new contract at St James Park, told the Daily Star: "This is where I'm from and Newcastle are the only team for me."
Reports suggest his new deal could treble his current £7,000-a-week wages, netting Carroll just over £1 million a year.
