Wigan in hunt for Portsmouth starlet Sowah
Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is set to swoop for Portsmouth's highly-rated teenage defender Lenny Sowah, according to reports in the UK press.
Sowah, a German Under-18 international, has not yet returned to pre-season training at the relegated club and could be sold to alleviate financial problems at Fratton Park.
A tribunal would set the transfer fee for the 17-year-old full back and although Pompey would want a hefty compensation package Martinez could bag Sowah for around £500,000.
Sowah played just five games under Portsmouth boss Avram Grant last season.
