Donovan happy in America

Landon Donovan has played down speculation about a return to the Premier League by insisting he is "excited" to be back at LA Galaxy.

Donovan, 28, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Everton earlier this year before playing a key role in USA's World Cup campaign, and there has been talk that he could make a permanent switch to Goodison Park or even join Manchester City.

However, the attacker has said he is happy to play in MLS and will only think about his future if a serious bid comes in.

"Right now, I want to be in America and I absolutely love being here and I loved getting back to my team-mates today," Donovan said. "As you know, I never say never to anything and, right now, rumours are rumours.

"If there's something serious to look at, then I will but, for now, I'm very excited to be home."
