Carlos strikes as Corinthians go back top

Roberto Carlos and Pedro Iarley scored the goals to move Corinthians to the top of the Brazilian Campeonato table as they defeated Internacional 2-0.

Corinthians moved two points clear of Ceara with Roberto Carlos opening the scoring after 38 minutes and Iarley netting the second (52).

Hugo scored twice as Gremio won 2-1 against 10-man Atletico Mineiro. Joao Pedro scored for the visitors who also had Ricardinho sent off with six minutes to go.

Rodrigues Roger scored the only goal in the last minute as Guarani beat strugglers Vasco da Gama.
