Hull star Hunt slams team-mates for lack of fight
Hull City's Stephen Hunt has launched a stinging attack on some of his team-mates and accused them of bottling it in the fight to stay in the Premier League.
Hunt was named as the club's Player of the Season after a good personal campaign and looks set to leave the KC Stadium as the club's financial plight is likely to lead to his sale.
The midfielder though, may not want to hang around long as he says some of his team-mates did not share his hunger to avoid the drop.
"The desire of most players has been good enough, but the more money you get paid, the harder you should work," Hunt told the Mail. "You've got to set an example and unfortunately not all players have done that.
"The people of Hull deserve better and I have said that to certain people in the changing room. I'm not saying it behind their backs, I've said it to their faces, they know who they are. They might hate me for it but that's the way I feel."
