Copa Libertadores: Bravo double aids Guadalajara
Two goals from Omar Bravo helped Mexican side Guadalajara take a big step towards the Copa Libertadores semi-finals as they beat Paraguay's Libertad 3-0 at home in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
Bravo netted early in the first half and late in the second to help Jose Luis Real's side take a commanding lead ahead of the second leg next week.
Bravo headed home a Julio Nava cross in the eighth minute to open the scoring before Ricardo Michel made it 2-0 on the half hour.
Two minutes after the interval, Guadalajara goalkeeper Liborio Sanchez saved a penalty from Rodolfo Gamarra and Bravo made certain of the win 10 minutes from time with his second of the game.
The second leg will take place next Tuesday in Asuncion.
