Alberto Aquilani will not be leaving Liverpool this summer, according to the player's agent.
Aquilani has been a major disappointment for the Anfield club since his £20 million move from Roma, playing just 15 times in the Premier League this season.
Injuries and uninspiring form have made it difficult for Reds fans to forget Xabi Alonso, whose departure to Real Madrid created room for the Italian's arrival.
With Liverpool suffering serious financial troubles, reports of a move back to Serie A have grown regarding Aquilani, but the player's agent, Franco Zavaglia, has suggested otherwise.
"I don't think Liverpool will dismantle the team because they are in an economic crisis," Zavaglia told Tuttomercatoweb."Plus, Alberto has a five-year deal there. How can people say that he will be sold?"
