Ferdinand wants to finish career at United

England captain Rio Ferdinand wants to remain with Manchester United for the rest of his career.

• Rooney out of second leg
• Robben boost for Bayern
• Vidic wants "winning mentality"

Ferdinand, who joined United from Leeds in the summer of 2002 for £30 million and has already made 325 appearances for the club, has no desire to play for another club before he hangs up his boots.

The 31-year-old told Inside United magazine: "I want to retire at United. It would be great to do what Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes have done and stick with one club for a long time. "Finishing my career at United would be a dream come true and those guys are such inspirations.

"They are all synonymous with Manchester United and I want to achieve that as well."
