Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben took part in light training on Monday and is expected to play a part in their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Robben, who missed the 2-1 first leg victory last Tuesday and the Bundesliga win over Schalke at the weekend with a calf strain, did light running and ball work.
The Dutch international joined Bayern from Real Madrid in the summer for around €25 million and has played a key part in the German club's challenge for the Bundesliga title, scoring 10 league goals this season.
"I have hopes he'll be able to play, but we'll have to wait and see. His muscles are still strained," Bayern boss Louis van Gaal, told the club's website.
Defender Daniel van Buyten, who received a knock just below his left knee against Schalke, also reported for treatment at Sabener Strasse and he too will make the trip.
The decision over their participation will probably be taken only after final training in Manchester.
