Keane on form as Celtic ease through

Robbie Keane's magnificent hat-trick kept Celtic's season alive as they beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Rugby Park to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Keane, who is on loan from Tottenham, showed all his class to open the scoring just after the hour, providing much relief for under-fire boss Tony Mowbray. Showing fine control to take down Edson Braafheid's pass, Keane set about rounding goalkeeper Cameron Bell for 1-0.

The Republic of Ireland international then received a helping hand as Marc-Antoine Fortune came on to set up Keane's next two goals, taking his tally to seven in his last five matches.

Fortune simply rolled the ball square for Keane to knock home his second, before a nonchalant drive finished Kilmarnock off with seven minutes remaining.

Hibernian and Ross County will have to do it all over again after nothing could separate the two sides in a highly entertaining 2-2 draw at Easter Road.

Scottish Division One side County were twice behind on Saturday, but they defied their lowly league status to hit back and secure a much deserved replay.

Goals from Colin Nish and Derek Riordan handed Hibs the initiative either side of an Ian Murray own goal, as the game exploded into life with three goals in the opening 20 minutes.

However, Michael Gardyne squeezed a low shot past Graham Stack with 11 minutes remaining, meaning SPL side Hibs must now travel away from home if they are to reach the semi-finals.

Raith Rovers provided the shock of the day, defying their seventh-placed status in the Scottish Division One to beat top of the table Dundee 2-1 at Dens Park.

Raith saw off Aberdeen in the previous round, and they showed little respect to the form book once again, taking the lead after just three minutes at Dundee. Stephen Simmons was the man to earn the breakthrough, firing home a stunning strike from range to silence the home crowd.

Laurie Ellis then doubled that lead with a header seven minutes later, and Rovers held on despite conceding late on.
