Portugal: Three off as Vitoria draw with Rio Ave

Vitoria Setubal had two men sent off and opponents Rio Ave played with ten men from almost the very start of the match as the teams played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in the Liga Sagres.

• Saturday's round-up

Rio Ave had goalkeeper Carlos sent off in the first minute and fell behind when Przemyslaw Kazmierczak tucked home a penalty three minutes later.

Despite being a man down, Rio Ave then battled their way into a 2-1 lead, with striker Chidi Onyemah scoring after 45 and 74 minutes - his second goal coming a minute after Vitoria had Andre Pinto dismissed.

Home side Vitoria then had defender Ney Santos red-carded in the 78th minute but three minutes later they drew level when Fernandes Neca scored to earn a point.

Pacos Ferreira staged a late fightback to beat Academica 2-1. Markus Berger put visitors Academica in front after 47 minutes but Ricardo equalised five minutes from the end and substitute Romeu Torres hit a 90th-minute winner.
