Sneijder handed two-match ban for derby red card

Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has been hit with a two-match ban following his red card against AC Milan. Sneijder was sent off in the first half of Sunday's city derby for dissent after verbally abusing the referee.

Sneijder will miss Sunday's trip to Parma and the home clash against Cagliari but will return to action when Inter travel to the San Paolo to face Napoli on February 14.

Inter will also be without defender Lucio for this weekend's encounter in Parma with the Brazilian serving a one-match ban.

However, Marco Materazzi was let off with a warning for wearing a mask of Italian Premier and Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi after the derby match, the Italian Soccer League said.
