Agent: Babel is still considering Birmingham switch

Liverpool attacker Ryan Babel remains open to a move to Birmingham and is currently considering an offer, according to his agent. Babel has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield this month and the rumours intensified after he was left out of the squad to face Stoke and then complained about the decision through his Twitter account.

Rafael Benitez has since accepted an apology for those comments, but Babel's future remains far from certain. Birmingham were said to have made an offer in the region of £9 million and, while it was thought that move had fallen through, agent Winnie Haatrecht has now revealed Babel is still weighing up the offer.

"Birmingham is still a possibility," he said in the Sun. "It would be simpler for Ryan to continue in the Premier League, a competition he knows well. We're actually studying an offer."

Sides including Ajax and Marseille are also thought to be interested in Babel.
