Rubin Kazan defender Cristian Ansaldi says that he knows nothing of reports that have been linking him with a move to Manchester City.
Ansaldi, a 23-year-old Argentine, was reportedly ready to seal a £6 million move from Russia, but Roberto Mancini has since insisted that he is not in the market for a new left-back. Little wonder then that Ansaldi has heard nothing from Eastlands.
"I read about it in the newspapers," he told Sport Express. "But nobody has called me about it - not my agent, nor anyone else. And there has been no conversation about it with the Rubin's officials."
The Russian Premier League champions sold fellow Argentine Alejandro Dominguez to Valencia last week, which may have seen talk increase over Ansaldi's future, but he remains philosophical about his situation.
"That's life in sport," he said. "Players always, and always will, come and go. I'm beginning my third season already in Kazan, and that's great. Every year I feel better and better in Russia. I'm very comfortable here."
