O'Hara, Bunbury win Hermann as top college players

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Stanford's Kelley O'Hara and Akron's Teal Bunbury have won the Hermann Trophy as the top college soccer players in the country.

O'Hara set a school record with her 26 goals, most in the nation, as she led the Cardinal (25-1) to the NCAA championship. She was recently selected to the US national team's training camp to prepare for the Algarve Cup tournament.

Bunbury led the Zips to the NCAA championship game, where they lost to Virginia on penalties. He led the nation with 17 goals. He beat out Harvard's Andre Akpan and Wake Forest's Corben Bone for the award presented by the Missouri Athletic Club.

O'Hara finished ahead of North Carolina's Tobin Heath and UCLA's Lauren Cheney in voting by Division I soccer coaches and members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
