Serie A side Sampdoria insist that Chelsea transfer target striker Giampaolo Pazzini will be going nowhere during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Italy international, who moved to Sampdoria from Fiorentina last year, has been heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge and is also a reported target for Tottenham Hotspur
Sampdoria sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed there has been interest in Pazzini, but added that the striker would be staying with the Blucerchiati.
"We will not give Pazzini now - 99 per cent he will not go away," he said. "I have already met the shareholders and there is no problem.
"Chelsea? There is an interest but a deal is something very different.
"If Pazzini can leave in June? There is so much time between now and June, it is still too early to talk about it."
Pazzini has scored ten goals this season and manager Luigi Del Neri does not want to see his striker leave the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in January.
"Every coach wants to keep his best players," he said. "It depends by club and I think that the idea is to keep Pazzini until June, when we'll evaluate if there is the possibility of sending him to a top club."
