Olympiakos lose derby, Panathinaikos clear

Olympiakos lost ground on leaders Panathinaikos after suffering their first Super League home defeat of the season when AEK Athens beat them 2-1 on Wednesday.

Zico's team, who are in the Champions League last 16, took a 26th-minute lead through Avraam Papadopoulos but AEK's Argentine forward Nacho Scocco netted two stunning goals in the 33rd and 40th minutes to turn the match around for Dusan Bajevic's side.

The result allowed Panathinaikos (41) to open a five-point gap at the top of the table after their 4-1 home win over Ergotelis, while AEK moved up to fifth but remain 17 points behind Panathinaikos.

Ergotelis went ahead through Michalis Frangoulakis's ninth-minute goal but French striker Djibril Cisse grabbed a double to take his tally to 13 league goals in 16 matches, while further strikes from Giorgos Karagounis and Sebastian Leto put the seal on a comfortable victory for the Greens.
