Israeli Ronny Levy has been appointed coach of Romanian side Unirea Urziceni following the departure of Dan Petrescu, club manager Mihai Stoica was quoted as saying on Friday.
"We have managed to reach an understanding with Ronny Levy," Unirea manager Mihai Stoica told Gazeta Sporturilor. "He signed a contract with us for a year and a half and he will arrive in Romania on Wednesday."
Levy, 43, is a former Israeli midfielder and manager of Maccabi Haifa.
Former Chelsea defender Petrescu quit to take over as coach of Russian second division side Kuban Krasnodar.
He led Unirea to third place in Group G on their Champions League debut this season and they will face Liverpool in the last 32 of the Europa League.
