Premier Showdown - Dec 26-27

Ding dong merrily on high! Well, that's what Dale Johnson will be singing as we go into the festive fixtures. He's miles ahead!

Looking to raise a glass to Santa in celebration for our next round is Eric Kunkel who is from Saint Peter, Minnesota in the United States.

Eric says: "I just started following soccer this year. I started supporting Chelsea right around the time America held the World Football Challenge and I've been reading ESPN Soccernet religiously since. I'm a 19-year-old in college and just can't get enough of fantasy soccer, I'm on top of my league here at Gustavus Adolphus College!"

Game on!

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
