Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda is set to leave Dutch side VVV-Venlo to join Russia's CSKA Moscow, Japanese media have reported.
The 23-year-old told Japan's Sankei Sports: "The feeling of wanting to experience an adventure outweighs any thought of the risks."
Neither club have formally announced the deal although Honda appears set on playing for CSKA, who have secured their place in the knockout stages of the European Champions League.
Honda, who has put in a number of impressive displays this season, had been linked with a host of European clubs including Premier League side Everton, but he revealed that he has received an offer from CSKA.
"I want to play for a club that values me," the attacking midfielder said. "I've been made to feel that (by CSKA). I hope to finalise things soon."
