Juventus's Italy winger Mauro Camoranesi will be out of action for two months with a thigh injury he suffered in Saturday's 3-1 defeat by Bari.
It is relatively good news for Juve as there had been fears in the Italian media that the injury could require surgery that would put Camoranesi's participation at next year's World Cup at risk.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The player is better, he is walking without crutches and the medical treatments are continuing. The prognosis is still around two months and the Juventus staff are optimistic about his recovery time."
His loss is still a big blow for Juve, who were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage and are third in Serie A after a patchy start to their domestic campaign.
Camoranesi is on the Juve injured list along with goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, defender Giorgio Chiellini, midfielder Mohamed Sissoko and forward Vincenzo Iaquinta.
