Borussia Monchengladbach defender Dante believes his side are capable of beating giants Bayern Munich. The Foals are five games unbeaten after an impressive victory over Schalke last weekend, and the Brazilian believes his side are capable of an upset when they visit the Allianz Arena.
Monchengladbach have only won once at Munich in the history of the Bundesliga, and with Bayern fresh from an impressive 3-0 win at Hannover, Dante knows it will be a tough test.
"It's going to be really tough for us in Munich and even though we're five games unbeaten, we are still the clear underdogs," he told the Bundesliga official website. "We're going to need a perfect performance. "If we all focus completely on our own roles then there will be something for us in Munich. We've already shown against HSV and Schalke that we're not scared of anyone.
Victory over third-place Schalke 1-0, courtesy of an early goal from Marco Reus, stretching the team's unbeaten run to five matches in the Bundesliga, and the Brazilian believes the spirit of the squad is largely responsible for their run of results.
"At the end of last season and over the summer some new players came in and we needed a bit of time to blend," he said. "But I think that's normal. Now we all know what we're doing and we're at a stage now where we're all playing for each other."
