A Ligue 1 game between Olympique Marseille and Sochaux has been postponed to help Marseille prepare for their decisive game against Real Madrid in Champions League Group C.
After their 1-1 draw with Milan, Marseille need to beat Real Madrid 3-0 or by a four-goal margin on December 8 to ensure they progress to the knockout stage in the Champions League, and the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has agreed to help them achieve their goal.
An LFP statement read: "(The French League) has postponed the game between Olympique Marseille and Sochaux, which was scheduled on December 2 to a later date.
"This decision, following Marseille's 1-1 draw with Milan, has been made to put Marseille in the best conditions before their decisive game against Real Madrid."
No new date has been announced for the rescheduled fixture.
