Premier Showdown - Oct 24-25

Hurrah! The Rest of the World have done it. Yes, after nine rounds of Premier Showdown the beleaguered Rest of the World team have finally broken their duck and scored their first points of the season.

Granted, it may only have been a draw with current champion Dale Johnson but at least it's something to build on.

Looking to take it onto the next level this weekend is Michael Barney.

Michael says: "Hi Guys, Mike here. I am 54 years old and live on a Kibbutz in the north of Isreal. I have been a Tottenham fan ever since my dad would take me to see Jimmy Greaves play when I was a youngster, and now my girls are also Spurs fans (the wife supports Man City but we are working on that).

"Nowadays we live a bit too far away to see the games live at White Hart Lane, so instead we follow their games via Soccernet and the TV, so keep up the good reporting of the games because sometimes that's all we get!"

We're try, Michael. Let's play!

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
